Critical Analysis of Leprechaun 3: The Secret of the Sword (1995)

Compared to the first two Leprechaun films, the third is both superior and inferior.

It does this by having a terrible first act that is still entertaining. Mark Jones can't write convincing dialogue for any of his characters except for the Leprechaun.

Scott McCoy, played by John Gatins, had some of the worst lines ever written for a college student, and I really felt horrible for him. Almost no one could sit through it.

In the second act, Scott becomes infected with the Leprechaun's blood, and the rest of the film is nothing but a wonderful time.

One of the interesting things is that this time around, Warwick Davis gets to deliver practically all of his speech in rhyme, and throughout the second act, he can even be rather amusing at times.

Without Davis, these movies wouldn't be Leprechaun 3 Horror Movie Review enjoyable. Davis truly carries them. He brings with him a destructive appeal that makes him entertaining to witness.
